“I was looking for someone who could ensure that I got a final estate tax return done per Federal and S.C. requirements. Aaron was the only tax professional to bring up the subject of the house left to the estate. This probate/foreclosure had been going on for over three years. Once the house sold at foreclosure, I had closed the estate and distributed money to heirs, thinking I was done. No one warned me about possible tax consequences from the sale of the house. It was in such bad shape I knew it could not sell for what was owed on the mortgage. I was correct it sold for $10K less. But the bank forgave the $10K difference. This was seen as INCOME to the estate and taxable!!! As the personal rep, I was on the hook for any taxes due from the estate. He stepped into a real quagmire. Despite all the complexities, he worked to get every possible tax break and the lowest tax possible. As he did so, he was able to explain the tax issues, deductions and exemptions so I understood the process. I could tell he knew his stuff. He saved me a ton of money and was very thorough and timely thru the process. I highly recommend him and his staff."
